Fees for Therapy
&
Assessment
I believe therapy and assessment services should feel clear, collaborative, and accessible. This page outlines my pricing structure, sliding scale model, and information about insurance and payment options so you can make the best decision for your needs.
A flexible pricing model built around accessibility and sustainability.
For all clinical services, I use a “pay what you can” sliding scale model developed using the Green Bottle Method. This approach recognizes two realities that can exist at the same time: therapists deserve sustainable compensation for their work, and clients deserve access to care within the realities of economic privilege, stress, and accessibility.
Using this model, you decide which pricing tier feels most appropriate for your current circumstances. You are welcome to adjust your tier over time if your financial situation changes. No additional explanation or documentation is required.
For all services, including therapy and assessments, the Maple Leaf level reflects the standard cost of services. I currently offer a limited number of Elm Leaf and Oak Leaf spots to help increase accessibility for clients who may need lower-cost options.
Choosing Your Pricing Tier
I use a flexible pricing model designed to support both accessibility and sustainability. The descriptions below are not strict rules or requirements. They are simply meant to help you choose the pricing level that feels most aligned with your current financial reality.
You do not need to provide proof, explain your circumstances, or justify your choice.

Insurance information
I do not currently accept insurance directly. This allows me to provide care that is individualized, neuroaffirming, and guided by clinical need rather than insurance requirements or limitations.
If you have out-of-network benefits, I can provide a superbill that you may submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement. Reimbursement is not guaranteed and will depend on your specific insurance plan and coverage.
Questions to ask your insurance provider
Does my plan include out-of-network mental health benefits?
What is my out-of-network deductible?
Have I met my deductible?
Are there session limits for outpatient mental health services?
Does my plan cover telehealth sessions?
What is the reimbursement rate for CPT code 90834?
Questions about pricing?
I understand that sliding scale pricing can feel less straightforward than having one fixed fee. If you have questions about the model, need help deciding what level feels appropriate, or would prefer to talk things through before getting started, please feel free to reach out by phone or email.
Inspired by the Green Bottle sliding scale model and accessibility-centered pricing frameworks by Worts & Cunning and other equitable care advocates.
