I am located in Alexandria, Virginia. I offer in-person therapy in Alexandria, online therapy for clients throughout Virginia, and walk and talk therapy when it feels like a good fit in Alexandria and Arlington.

Online therapy allows us to meet from the comfort of your own space using a secure virtual platform. It can be a good fit if you want therapy to feel easier to access, more flexible with your schedule, or more comfortable from home. As long as you are located in Virginia during your session, online therapy may be available to you.

Yes. I offer in-person therapy in Alexandria, Virginia. My office is located in Old Town Alexandria near the King Street Metro inside Olida Therapy Suites at 1737 King Street, Suite 330, Alexandria, VA. I use a mix of evidence-based practices tailored to fit your individual situation. I primarily work with Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), parts work, mindfulness-based self-compassion, and motivational interviewing. I also use systems-based approaches that explore how different areas of your life interact and impact your overall well-being.
At times, some clients may want to incorporate elements of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). While I do not personally approach therapy from a framework of needing to “fix” or suppress thoughts and feelings, I do believe people deserve support in responding to distress with more flexibility, understanding, and self-trust.
And while not technically “evidence-based,” I also believe a little “RAGE AGAINST THE SYSTEM!” validation can go a long way in reminding us that people are not inherently flawed. Sometimes the systems around us simply were not built to support the full range of human experience.

Your first appointment is a chance for us to talk through what is bringing you in, what has been feeling hard, and what kind of support you are looking for. You do not need to have everything figured out ahead of time. The first session is about getting a sense of fit, understanding your goals more clearly, and creating a starting point together.
-
That depends on your goals, the kind of support you are looking for, and how things unfold over time. Some people come in with a specific issue they want to work through, while others are looking for longer-term support. We can talk together about what pace and approach feel most realistic and helpful for you.

Under the No Surprises Act, healthcare providers are required to provide self-pay clients with a Good Faith Estimate of expected costs for services. This estimate is designed to help you better understand what you may be charged over the course of your care. You can request a Good Faith Estimate before starting services or at any point during treatment.

I do not currently accept insurance. This allows me to provide care that is personalized, neuroaffirming, and guided by clinical need rather than insurance requirements or session limitations.
If you have out-of-network benefits, I can provide a superbill for possible reimbursement through your insurance provider.
Here are a few helpful questions to ask your insurance company:
Does my plan cover out-of-network mental health services?
What is my out-of-network deductible?
Have I met my deductible?
Are there session limits for mental health care?
Does my plan cover telehealth services?
What is the reimbursement rate for CPT code 90837?
Please note that I cannot guarantee reimbursement or determine whether your plan will cover services.

I work with adults dealing with anxiety, burnout, perfectionism, executive functioning challenges, relationship stress, and the general strain of feeling overwhelmed by life. I also offer neuroaffirming support for adults exploring ADHD, autism, or questions about how their mind works.
-
Yes. I offer adult ADHD and autism assessments for adults seeking more clarity, language, and understanding around patterns that may not have fully made sense before. Assessments are approached through a neuroaffirming lens and are designed to support greater self-understanding rather than pathologizing your experience.
